Time series data gotten from the World Bank covering the period of 1991 to 2021 was used for this project. The objectives of the study include identifying the role of financial development on small and medium enterprises in Nigeria. Some literature were reviewed in relation to the topic with the themes and sub-themes of the study. However, in research methodology, the researcher used some instruments for data collection. These instruments emanated from a secondary source of data. The data collected were analyzed and estimated using the auto-regressive distributed lag method (ARDL). The result of the study shows that financial development is significant to SME growth in the long run.
