The aim of this study is to assess the knowledge level, attitude and practices of caregivers and teachers in the control and preventive measures against communicable diseases in early daycare centers in Nnewi North LGA of Anambra state, Nigeria. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study carried out among two hundred and fifty-nine teachers in early childhood education centers in Nnewi North LGA. The respondents were recruited systematic random sampling method. Data was collected using a pre-tested and structured self-administered questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 25. Among the 259 respondents, there were 249 (96.1%) females and 10 (3.9%) males with the average age of the respondents as 33.54 ± 7.89. There was no statistically significant association between age, sex, education level and school ownership with the knowledge level of preventive measures against communicable diseases, however, the number of years as a caregiver/teacher was found to be statistically significant (p 0.002) with the knowledge level of preventive measures against communicable diseases. Most of the respondents had good knowledge of control measures against communicable diseases in daycare centers.
