The research questions used were centered on assessing the attitude of nurses, evaluating their practice and identifying the barriers to the prevention of pressure ulcers. A total of 75 clinical nurses were studied. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling in which a valid and structured questionnaire was used. The questionnaires were distributed and collected by the researcher. Also, a Likert scale was used to study the nurses’ attitudes and practices toward the prevention of pressure ulcers. The study showed that 80% (60) of the respondents believe that a pressure ulcer is an important indicator of the quality of nursing, 90.7% (68) believe in the practice of using a risk assessment scale to assess pressure ulcers. Also, 94.6% (71) said that short staffed is one of the factors that can hinder the prevention of pressure ulcer formation.
