To achieve the aim and objectives of this study, Extreme Programming software development methodology was used MySQl was used for the database design and Java programming language was used to implement this project. The outcome of this project work is expected to improve the way notifications are passed to both staff and students of the Federal University of Lafia. Both primary and secondary methods of data collection were used for the purpose of this study. The primary data were obtained from oral awarding of questions to the information unit of Federal University of Lafia and also complementing the interview is a personal observation of the routine of the current notification system of Federal University of Lafia. The secondary method of data used for this research is the use of libraries which comprises of textbooks, past project works, the internet, and other related works. Java programming language was used for the development of the system, and MySql was used for the database design.
