The findings of the study revealed that physics teachers are available in most of the schools and have attained the Teachers Registration Council certificate in the study area, there is an inadequacy of professional physics teachers in most of the schools where they experience a lack of replacement after being transferred and the teacher–student ratio is not sufficient in the study area, the study, however, revealed that professional teachers have an impact on effective teaching and learning physics in secondary school in the study area.
