The purpose and objectives of this study are to investigate and report on“A critical review of Soludo and Sanusi’s bank reform policies” What this means is that appraisal will be made in the role and potentials of the bank reform policies towards strengthening the financial systems through banking sector consolidation, foreign exchange stabilization and improve transparency in the banking industry. However, this research study made use of questionnaires distributed among staff of CBN Owerri. The primary and secondary method of data collection was used in obtaining relevant information used in writing this project. The researcher also reviewed works of literature of previous research work on the subject matter. The responses were analyzed using appropriate statistical tools such as tables, percentages etc also the responses that are relevant to the hypothesis were tested using chi-square distribution test significance and the researcher concluded that bank reform policies have a significant relationship with the soundness of Nigerian banks.
