The main aim of the study is to examine the challenges of performance in terms of efficient and effective utilization of the available resources in Nigeria. The study was conducted at Cadbury Nigeria Plc., Ikeja, Lagos. The quantitative approach was used to quantify incidences in this research work. Questionnaires were used as data collection instruments. The findings of the study support the view that a fundamental question to ask is whether outsourcing is value-enhancing and, in particular, whether the firm that undertakes outsourcing shows higher profitability as a result. The following recommendations were made: i. Outsourcing at Cadbury Nigeria Plc. should be improved in order to improve on cost efficiency. ii.
